- Murmuration - for self-printing
When starlings fly in formatiion it's called a murmuration. In the winter, they aggregate in thousands for safety, and create amazing shapes in the sky to confuse predators. An awesome sight to see.
But don't overlook starlings' individual beauty. Look closely as that iridescence and all those little white spots like tiny stars. No wonder I absolutely love starlings, and have painted them so many times.
The original acrylic on canvas painting of a magical murmuration of starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) is already sold. But you can get a digital file here to make a print of this yourself. It looks really outstanding as a square canvas print, size 40 x 40cm.
This paintings is also available as a and it's been popular from the day I first published it!
Carol W from Essex, UK, who bought a on canvas of this painting said:
"The murmuration has arrived! It's stunning! As predicted, I can't stop looking at it!"
